How do I join?
Simply fill out the online application. We will review and possibly ask additional questions prior to approving your application, and welcoming you to Aleph Leasing. You don't need to be pilot already to join. Our program is ideal for student pilots that are tired of the older aircarft generally avialable to students.
How do I get to fly?
As much as you want. Your prepaid lease includes 250 hobbs hours (engine hours) vs clock hours at rental companies. If you go over, you can get additional hours at $250/hour.
Are there hour restrictions?
Not really. So long as you comply with FAA regulations you're welcome to take the aircraft whenever it's available.
What if I go over my hours allotment?
Additional hours are only $250/hr. Fuel is not included.
What if my plans change after booking a time with the aircraft?
No worries. Just book a different time. It's engine time you're buying.
Is there a minimum age requirement?
Though we don't have any age requirements, the insurance carrier might. Please contact an insurance carrier for more info.
Can anyone besides me fly the aircraft?
Anyone insured on the aircraft may fly it with proof of insurance and enough hours on similar aircraft or with our recommended CFI. You may NOT rent the aircraft to others.
How do I go about booking time?
You'll be invited to a shared calendar where you'll be able to book out time with the aircraft.
What happens if the aircraft is damaged while in my possession?
We expect normal wear and tear will occur, that is what you're paying for, and is covered in our agreement. Excessive wear and damage may incur addtional cost or hour reducions to your lease. IE damage valued at a repair cost of $1000 can be either paid or you may opt to forfit 8 hours of time with the aircraft.
What happens if another lease holder crashes the aircraft?
The insurance claim would affect the pilot of the aircraft but not all the lease holders. We would either replace the aircraft with a similar one or buy out each lease holders based on the value of their remaining hours at $125/hr.
Can I fly the plane out of my state or the country?
Out of state, yes. It's an aircraft and we expect it will likely go on some longer trips (some restrictions apply). This lease however does NOT allow for the aircraft to leave the country.
How is this different from just renting an aircraft?
Lease allows for a nicer, cleaner, less abused, and more available aircraft for far less than most rentals.
What is the process for picking up and dropping off the aircraft?
Book your time online. Record the hobbs with a picture. Fly. Record the hobbs with a picture.
Am I expected to wash the aircraft while in my possession?
No, we'll handle that from time to time. Use that creates more than the normal interior or exterior care may cost a little extra.
Am I allowed to smoke or have pets in the vehicle?
To maintain the level of cleanliness approprait to the aircraft, smoking and pets are strictly forbidden. Inspecting for both are part of our regular process and additional cleaning fees and/or early buyout of your lease may result.
What if I refer a friend?
We believe our fellow owners are our best ambassadors and will award you for spreading the good word. For each referral you send us who becomes an owner, we will give you a $1000 rebate AND your referred friend will get $1,000 off the lease. It's good to lease with friends.
